Lasko 40" Executive Tower Fan

Love it!!
I had an old floor fan and the motor finally died. I hadn't really paid much attention to the new generation of fans like this one. I saw some online reviews and decided that this would not only look better but would hopefully work better too.

I wasnt disappointed. It takes just a few minutes and a phillips or regular screwdriver to do the job. It comes with a remote that does everything the buttons on the unit does. The remote is certainly nice to have. It would be particularly useful for anyone with physical limitations. It is very quiet and is very powerful. I would definitely recommed it.

this lasko fan have motor odor
this fan have good output but also have odor that you can really smell across the room. Not sure if its the motor when it gets warm or the ionizer is broken. same smell even when ionizer is off.

Pretty darn pleased, the ionizer is iffy though.
i have used this fan since 2004 and no problems. I like the remote and the power. Can't say the ionizer is much of anything but it's nice to have it. My girlfriend keep complaining that she's to cold with the fan so I guess it works.

Black & Decker GC200 Gizmo Cordless Can Opener

Great device! Make your own rechargeable battery and keep it..
I've had mine for 5 years. I love it and didn't want to see it go. However, the battery no longer holds a charge. But with a little creativity it's pretty easy to change it to use two AA rechargeable batteries (B&D does not sell battery replacements). Now it's good as new again. Since these use nicad Batteries, they have a bad memory affect, and if not discharged fully will no longer hold a full charge or even operate plugged in over time. To change out the battery, open the egg shaped unit with the two screws, remove the battery pack, get an AA cell holder from radio shack (make sure the batteries are wired in series- ask the guy at RS if you have any questions or take the battery pack with you) wire it in to the existing battery leads. Now remove a small inner part of the plastic casing on the non battery side which goes up against the battery (since the battery pack is now larger, the casing needs this slight mod. A Dremel works good for this. Add a couple of rechargeables,...

Great idipendent living aid!
I've only got use of one hand, that makes standard can opening impossible. This product is very easy to use I love it!

Gizmo Appropriately Named
This Gizmo has been a disaster, just like the Gemlin character of the same name. Initially, I was very happy to get this can opener. It looked like quality. That was the last positive feeling I had about it.

I ordered Gizmo from Amazon.com. I received Gizmo from OrangeOnions.com. Since I use Amazon for other things, I am familiar with ordering from them but know they are the middleman. No problem - for now.

The initial charge takes 24 hours - not a bad exchange for a month's worth of can opening. The following day, I was ready to open cans. As I started to attach the Gizmo to the first can, the removable blade (for easy clean-up) fell off. Three times. After retrieving it three times, I finally got Gizmo attached to the can. By the way, this is not a light-weight unit, which was proved when I attempted the "hands-off" approach to can opening. The can tipped over from the weight of the opener, spilling liquid all over my counter.

I grabbed and...

Bionaire BAP825-U Air Cleaner

"Quiet Operation"??? SURE...
I got this unit from Best buy yesterday, so don't look at this as a long-term usage review. It seems like a nice enough unit, but I chose it over the others at best Buy because I read on the box that "advanced motor and fan blade design provide for quiet operation on any speed". Um, they must have hearing impaired people testing these out in the factory, because I can't get truly "quiet operation" on any speed other than low.

I was amazed when I turned it on and could no longer hear the sound on the videogame I was playing at the time. It was on the high setting, so I switched it to the lowest setting. It was much better, but then it's also doing less for me. When on the ghigh setting, this thing sounds like you're running five microwaves at once. I expected nearly SILENT operation...perhaps even "on any speed"? This unit did not deliver what it advertised.

Overall, it's a good product, but they should not advertise "quiet operation on any speed". That's...

It worked for my son!
My 4 yr old son has terrible dust mite allergies. He was ssooo congested every night and could not sleep well (he slept w/ his mouth open & snored). We tried everything suggested by the allergist: I dusted, I vacuumed, I washed bed sheets/blankets, took out the stuffed animals, used the right pillow covers and mattress covers. We tried OTC allergy medications and prescription medications. THEN we purchased this air filter for his room. Amazing ... he sleeps through the night peacefully, nasal passages clear. I'd give this air cleaner 5 stars except for the fact that there is a slight odor in his room from it (probably just because its new ... its that kind of smell) and it does tend to warm his room up slightly w/ it running all night long, so I keep our a/c turned down a bit more at night now. But for the price, I'd recommend it to anyone suffering from allergies to give it a try.

works well
The unit significantly reduced dust and dander in the room. The first filter lasted about three months, which is good considering the amount of crud that it had to filter from the air. The noise level is acceptable. It's not silent, but it's not like a hair dryer either. I keep it on a medium setting with the oscillator on, and the noise level is comparable to a desk fan. Overall, I wish I had bought it sooner, as my husbands allergies are greatly improved while he sleeps at night, thanks to this air cleaner.

Also, one thing to remember with the ionizing units like Sharper Image or Oreck, is that they create ozone as a byproduct of ionization. Ozone buildup in a room can be toxic. Additionally, they are silent because there is no fan. Having no fan means the air doesn't get circulated, so the air immediately surrounding the unit is clean, but the rest of the room is not.

Oxy-Sorb 250-Pack Oxygen Absorber, 500cc

OxyEye color?
I am unsure if I received a defective product. The OxyEye was pink inside of the sealed up bags. After I used the oxygen absorbers in my canning jars I noticed that the OxyEye was still the same color- pink. It is still pink now, a day later sitting on the counter. No color change. I am wondering if all my oxygen absorbers were exposed and no longer good. That would be frustrating considering the time it took to seal up all my jars and vaccumm pack it.
I emailed the seller and am waiting to hear back. Will update the review once I do.

**Update** I still have not heard back from the seller, Seal & Store, LLC. I received a new bag of Oxy absorbers from another site, a reputable company. I left one absorber out of the bag on the counter to see what happened- it got hot! Like they are supposed to when they are absorbing oxygen. Also, the oxyeye turned purple to indicate it had oxygen contact.
This DID NOT happen with the oxygen absorbers that I purchased from Amazon...

Don't know, eye indicater did not change color much.
The indicator did nothing when I opened package and no change in color for weeks now. I've heard the packets get a little hot when working properly. No change in temp ether, I'm wondering if my food is ok. I think I will buy another brand open my bags and throw in another absorber or two. The other reviews say they work great, how do they know?

UPDATE: I compared the indicator with an unopened package again and I do see some change in color. Perhaps they are working, Also did find another vender that appears to be professional selling the same product so I feel better about the situation. The other vender gave instructions for testing these things. Tape it to the bottom of an empty jar, turn the jar upside down and place it on a pie plate with water. If the absorber is working it will pull some water up into the jar. start the test over each day for about a week. It should keep working for a few days.

Great Product
These are amazing and really work well. I use them for everything from storing food, ammunition, etc. Whatever you want to store for a while in a sealed container and want all the oxygen out of it. They work great. I had to open a bucket the other day that had these in them, and I had a hard time getting tiop off because of the seal. Hihgly recommended.

6 Inch Hydroponic Inline Air Carbon Filter Odor Control

Really?
the one i received doesn't look like the picture. the bottom, despite the product description, is capped with sheet metal. i'm not sure what i received really. it could be cheap and ineffective; how am i to know? no label on the product. the box has X3069 on it. but that doesn't tell me anything. really strange purchase. a relatively blank box arrives at my door w/ out a packing slip, invoice, or product labeling. would not recommend purchasing mystery items...

i'm beginning to see a trend with Amazon sellers selling (or what i call 'dumping off') what appear to be not-as-pictured or used/slightly scratched stuff. just got a nextgen 400/600 ballast that looks used. 2 very dissappointing purchases in a row.

misrepresented product
The product I recieved did was not the same one specified. The product information says the shipping weight is 22lbs and the unit only weighted 8lbs.

Would buy again
The product did what was described in info and cost effect. Would recommend to others. Thank you so much again!

Master Grade Electric Knife Sharpener

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT !
After several years of faithful service my Chef's Choice knife sharpener bit the dust. I was going to buy another when I came across this model. I had read in one of my cooking magazines that the Chinese Food chef Martin Yan had launched a line of knife sharpeners. I always enjoyed his cooking show on PBS and thought that if a man could chop through a chicken that quickly he's got to know how to sharpen a knife! Well, I'm pleased to report that this sharpener does just that and with just a few passes of the knife unlike my old one. If money wasn't so tight right now I'd be giving these away as gifts but in the meantime I get to keep my knives nice and sharp. Now where's that chicken?

waste of money
The Impecca Bladeless Fan is a great idea that fails miserably as a room fan. It blows a very weak stream of air unless it's right in your face. Ok as a very large desk fan and it is safe for kids, if that's what you are looking for

Emerson CF700WW Builder Indoor Ceiling Fan, 52-Inch Blade Span, Appliance White Finish and Appliance White/Bleached Oak Blades

Very large and quiet fan
We ordered these because they worked beautifully with the hardware in the house and the 2" wood blinds. How very easy to assemble and it allows for a light kit. If there are two switches for fan motor and one for light it is easy to find a ceiling light that conforms to the small fitter hole. You need to run a separate line to tie into the blue wire for the light.
Didn't need the balance kit it is so smooth and quiet. " Energy Star " which is a huge bonus. I heard that Emerson is leaving the USA because of the Cap and Trade. Tax Sorry to see such a wonderful company leave. The smooth finishes on the metal parts are an example of good workmanship. I have other fans made elsewhere and they have cut me, Oh well get them while available they are wonderful.

Great ceiling fan
This ia a quality fan, comparable to others I had already bought through my electrical supplier for my home. There was a part missing from the box (packed from the manufacturer), but after contacting the reseller, they immediately took care of it and shipped the missing part!

Krups KH7003 Precision Stainless-Steel 900-Watt 2-Slice Toaster

Best toaster yet
We had a Krups toaster before and loved it. Unfortunately, fumble fingers dropped it on the tile floor one morning while preparing breakfast. It didn't bounce but it fell hard and had to be replaced. Gee, the first time I ever broke something and am happy that I did! This newer model is absolutely awesome. Does bagels and toast plus the defrost and bagel choices are wonderful. I even use it for hamburger buns so they are only toasted on the inside for pulled pork or burgers. Krups makes a quality machine. In six or seven years I might have to drop this one so we can buy the latest!!!

It didn't work!
I have purchased many krups products over the years and this is the first time I ever bought a product from krups that was a total waste. I'll buy krups again but never over the Internet !!!!!!!

Superior toaster!
Love this. Easy to use. Can take doorstep thickness bread and toasts great, with a tactile rotary switch. Also looks great and matches my other brushed steel appliances.

DeLONGHI - Convection Oven w/Rotisserie, 12.5-Liter, 0.5 cu. ft., Black

Hard to control, not worth it
I have an Oster oven I LOVE and when we bought this for a 2nd place, I thought - how different can it be? First off, the controls aren't digital and it seems to run VERY hot, constantly burning items in 1/2 the time the directions called for. I'm not sure if we have a defective model or if the fan&bake setting is supposed to accelerate timing THAT much, but it's very unpredictable and hard to control. I've taken to messing with the back settings and turning the temp down, but that just makes for high maintenance. The toast setting (assuming you stand and watch it), is fine. But definitely do not recommend it.

DeLonghi "Customer Care" is TERRIBLE!
BUYER BEWARE!...Delonghi "Customer Care" (as they call it) is the absolute worst I have ever experienced....ever! (I apologize in advance for the length of my post. I've never done this before, but my experience with Delonghi has been SO BAD that I felt I had to report it....and in order to do so I wanted to be as thorough and exact as possible).

I purchased the top of the line Delonghi DO-1289 Convention Toaster Oven on Sept. 4, 2012 (which...BTW...has now been discontinued). Within a few months the control knobs became less responsive and it later became apparent the unit was going to need to be repaired or replaced. Not a big deal, these things happen....so I called "Customer Care" which (as you will read) has turned out to be an extreme exercise in patience.

My first attempt was on May 24, 2013 at 10:17am (central time...where they are located). After navigating their phone tree (which we are all now accustomed to) the recording told me my call would be...

DeLonghi Convection Oven
Prefect for every day dinners - the convection is great for roasts, turkeys, etc. I've used Delonghi products for years - they are high quality and priced right.

Soleus Air® 42" Oscillating Tower Fan with Remote

very good air flow
I choose this rating because this is one of the best fans I have ever purchased. You get a lot of air even on low setting. Worth the price.

Good air flow
My son has taken over the basement family room as his bedroom. He needed more air flow so we purchased two of these fans. Very happy with the product.

Very pleased!
A co-worker had lent this fan to a staff member for their office because the air in that particular office never seemed to be moving and was warm. This fan is perfect for the office. Even when you turn the fan on high - it does not blow papers around and the air flow works perfectly. Of course, the remote is an extra bonus. I highly recommend this fan for office and/or home.

GEORGE FOREMAN GR36B Grill Jumbo Size Black

Love this grill!
Ordered my grill this past week-end from J.C. Penney. reg.price listed as 99.99, on sale for 29.99. I absolutely love it. Burgers have nice grill marks, and very little fat left in them. Nice size area, and pretty easy to clean, if you do it while its still hot. I squirt dish detergent onto both the top and bottom, and go ahead and clean it. Not that big a deal in my opinion. I think that this grill is a great buy! Also, stores nicely on my kitchen shelf. Again, love it, love it.

A big let down ..
I wanted a George Foreman grill so badly, because we live in an apartment with no outdoor area to have a grill. I chose this particular one because it was large so you could cook a very good amount of food. However, I have used it only once in about a year of owning it. I don't care how much cooking spray you use, EVERYTHING sticks horribly & it takes FOREVER to clean. I was definitely very disappointed ..

Monte Carlo 4CO28WH Colony II 28-Inch 4-Blade Ceiling Fan, White Motor Finish and White Blades

5 star fan with a big whoosh!
We have several of these fans because they're small but pack a big whallop. Their 20 degree blade pitch causes them to put out a lot of wind with a small blade. This one is to replace a fan in our motorhome. It's so much nicer than the one it replaced.

These fans are beautiful, efficient little fans! Great choice
We looked in many stores for two small fans to put outside under a porch. We could not find a small fan anywhere. After going online, we saw the Monte Carlo fans. They were priced reasonably although the shipping did add to the bill. However, we really like the fans. They look nice and work well.

Perfect!
This fan is perfect for my small kitchen and will be welcome relief when the cook needs to get cooled off. It looks really nice in my newly reno'd kitchen that has white Shaker-style cabinets and gorgeous black granite, stainless appliances, subway tile... oops, sorry I'm very excited about the new look.

Shark V2022 Cordless Floor Sweeper, Factory Serviced

Disappointed - Didn't pick up anything. Returned it.
I bought this after using an older model of a rechargeable Shark sweeper at my office. The same model was no longer available so I picked this one up at Kohl's when I had a 30% off coupon. I still ended up paying $42.00 (regular price was SIXTY dollars!).

I set up the unit and let it charge the recommended time (24 hours). The battery life was fine. At first, it seemed to work okay in my kitchen picking up crumbs and such. But on carpet it was worthless. The unit just didn't pick up anything. I would have to roll the unit over and over and over the same spot just to get it to pick up the smallest things. And cleaning it was horrible - it was dusty and dirty. Yuck!

I finally gave up and returned it. I considered that maybe I had purchased a defective unit and almost exchanged it. But I decided that it took too long to initially charge it and with all the parts that had to be connected upon set up, I'd rather not mess with it again. Besides, for $60, I...

Disappointed!!
Completely disappointed! Didn't realize the product was a refurbished, which is fine. But, at least put a new battery!! I charged it for 20hrs as stated. I received a used, dead, battery that needs to be replaced! Sad part, you can't even get a hold of seller without going threw non-sense emails! Bugs, that I have to put more money in the product, when it's not even days old!

poor choice
This was a poor choice on my part. While the sweeper worked well at first, the battery soon died and I was left to purchase a new battery or make another choice on a sweeper. I chose the latter and am much happier.

If you have a big juicing job you will have to stop and clean out the fiber but other than that I have no complaints, it handles everything I throw at it.

VillaWare V5555-14 Pooh n' Pals Toaster 2-Slice

terrible product
We received this toaster as a gift, and thought it was a really great one. But the first time we tried to use it, a lot of smoke and a plastic-burning smell came out. There was no plastic or any object visible inside the toaster. The retailer was contacted, and assured us that a "small amount of smoke" and a smell were normal for the first use or two.

Well, we tried it a couple more times, and the smoke just got worse. So we sent it back.

We recieved the replacement, and I'm happy to say, just a little smoke. But it still had an extremely strong reeky plastic burning smell. We actually had to plug it in outside and run it several times to get rid of some of it, but it is still lingering after maybe 20 cycles. I am reluctant to feed my kids the toast cooked in that toxic stink.

As for the performance, the music chime stopped working after a few cycles, and never started up again. I was actually happy about that, because it was extremely annoying. The...

Poor quality appliance
The bumble bee "handle" used to push the toasting lever down is very poor quality. In retrospect, it's hard to believe anyone designing a product would think this cheap plastic decoration would serve for actual use as a lever. Can't believe I didn't notice it and return the product immediately. Sooner or later you end up pushing down on a bare metal shaft that's about 1/4" top to bottom.

The music stopped playing after the 3rd or 4th use. The dial for choosing your browning level is imprecise at best. You end up with a lot of toast that isn't what you want.

Even though I didn't experience any smoking/smell issues and haven't noticed it being overly hot to the touch, this product is very expensive for what you get. If you want a toaster, go for the discount store $5 sale toasters if you want quality. Otherwise you pay $30-40 for the cute factor. It will look very cute on your counter and if you don't use it you won't be upset about it's poor quality...

Just A Gimmick Toaster
I highly recommend that you do not buy this or any other Villaware Disney Toasters. They all get very hot, you and your little loved one will get burned; in more ways than one. You have to practically burn the toast to see images and the music works Loud and well for a short time then, Nothing! The heating elements burn up and smoke!!! Also the browning select, or should I say the burning select, control is backwards it turns counterclockwise. It is just a Gimmick Toaster, Not Safe or Reliable at All.
Respectfully Submitted, John W. Adam

Hunter 33201 2-Gallon CareFree Humidifier Plus with PermaWick

Not quiet but it works
This is the 3rd winter I have used this humidifier. It does the job, running 24/7. I learned it runs best on med or high. I keep it in a far corner away from where we sit. All humidifiers leave deposits behind to clean. How much depends on the water. I have very hard water. Give it a rinse every week and a good scrubbing about monthly. At the end of the season fill the bottom with vinegar and let it run for an hour outside the house with the tank off. This gets hard water deposits out of the pump housing and impeller. Clean and store till next year. It will last for years. The permanent wicks are still in great shape and look like new. Not silent but it does the job. Overall very happy with it.

Hunter Cool Mist Humidifier Model # 33201
I have read the other reviews and I can understand your disappointments but I have NEVER bought a table top humidifier of ANY brand that stood the test of time over prolonged use. I bought mine from Walmart recently and seems okay so far and a little noisy on the low speed more than I had hoped but all I care it keeps my family and all my pets healthier during the cold winter months. I have 90 days to return it to Walmart with my box and receipt should I not be happy with it or becomes defective within that 90 days from date of purchase. Also, the Hunter manufacturer gives you a five year warranty to return it to them (at your mailing cost) and they would send you back another unit at no cost to you. They just don't make things to last today like they used to. Just make sure whomever you buy this unit from you save your receipt and original box with bar code on it if possible for full refund, exchange or to mail back to the manufacturer.

Not "CareFree" at all, unless you pay for distilled water
The "PermaWick" feature of this humidifier is a nice idea, but if your tap water is hard and has lots of minerals you may find yourself giving this machine a lot of attention. We have city water but with lots of minerals... and I'm only getting 4-5 days of operation before it starts sounding like a waterfall and needs to be cleaned again. Cleaning is not a HUGE deal (soak filters in vinegar solution and spray off, wipe mineral residues from other parts with vinegar/water solution) but does take about 20 minutes and it's a chore I'd rather not be doing so frequently. I think that "CareFree" is stretching it a bit.

McCulloch MC1245 Rotary Action Steam Cleaner

Ok, but not excellent
First, the steamer worked and produced steam rather quickly. Like most steamers it does spew a bit of water out the nozzle. The cord is quite long at 16 feet. For a basic steamer it's okay, but this McCulloch is supposed to be the grand-poo-bah of steamers. Think again.

The nozzle has an awkward angle. It would not get into the crevices on my shop sink. In other words, its good for flat surfaces and surfaces that are not bowl, sink, or bucket shaped.

The tank hold 10 ounces of -distilled- water. Sorry but I'm not boiling water for this or buying any for that matter. On high setting the tank of water lasted 10 minutes. There is a water treat cartridge that is replaceable (more money).

The attachments fit well and rotate but the motor bogged down with light pressure. However, the steamer is heavy enough that you can put it's weight on the scrubber and let it go.

I used the steamer in my shop on various nastiness. It worked well on sink stains,...

Loads of good points ... a bit awkward to use
I have been using steam cleaners for the last few years and am very impressed (and happy) with the whole idea of cleaning using steam. This steam cleaner is unique (for me) because of the rotary head which allows much better scrubbing.

It cleaned my glass stovetop easily, and also helped spiff up my kitchen sink. I used it on the rim and seat of the toilet, but it was too awkward to use deeper inside, the one problem I have with this particular item - because of the rotary action, it doesn't flex and it is hard to reach some places where I would like to use it. (What needs steam more than a toilet?)

BUT, there are some very awesome points on this.

First of all, the cord is nearly 16 feet long! That makes it super special for garages and cars. So if you are looking for a steam cleaner for the guy in your life, the cord alone will make him happy. A bit too big for a Christmas stocking, but it would make a nice box under the tree. Just in case the garage...

Works
Used this first on my grill which hadn't be cleaned in a while. Really didn't want to use chemicals on a surface that touches my food, so this steam cleaner was perfect. Took the layers of soot and burned fat right off with little effort. Made the grill look almost new again. Recommend highly.

I was quite surprised to discover, upon receipt of my espresso maker, that it was not stainless steel at all, as it appeared to be in the picture, but completely plastic. That said, it was easy to set up and use, in spite of a manual that made it look extremely complicated. Black and Decker TO4314SSD Rotisserie Toaster Oven

Dials are complicated - but the convection feature is great
We traded our old B&D Toaste-R-Oven (which we had for several years) for this upgraded model primarily because of the convection oven option.

I must agree with previous reviewers in that the writing on the 4 dials is way too small. The pictures are tiny and there are other languages as well, which are almost impossible to read. Instead of manufacturing ovens for specific countries/markets, they decided to save money and cram everything in a small area in practically indistinquishable print. There's no instruction booklet, just 2 double-sided sheets of paper (in 3 languages no less) to try to explain it all. Not convenient, not user-friendly.

Bakery rolls, frozen foods, etc. turn out well and the clean-up is simple. I love that I don't have to heat up my whole kitchen by turning on the oven when I just want to cook a few things from Trader Joe's for breakfast. And the convection oven is fabulous in that the heat is distributed evenly so that your food is...

Multi-functional, but impractical
As a toaster oven, the B&D TO4314SSD works well. We have used it for toasting breads and trays of nuts, and the elements seem to heat evenly on top and bottom.

The unit has a pleasant overall appearance, but a major design flaw has to do with the overly complex controls: Surrounding the four silver plastic knobs are many tiny icons whose meaning is not always obvious, together with illegible text in multiple languages. A previous toaster oven we had (Cuisinart) had a shortcut for making toast which involved the pressing of one button. The B&D has the older mechanical timers associated with all functions (think round clockwork kitchen timer with a bell), so you first have to turn the knob to a point past midway, then turn it back in the opposite direction for a lighter toast, if desired. But before that you must ensure that the temperature and function knobs are set to their toast function positions. The curved glass door is a bit awkward as it doesn't quite open flat,...

Dorm room oven/toaster with complicated dials
Black and Decker used to make very good toaster ovens. But then they farmed out their manufacture (and probably design) to a company named Applica. The result has been a loss in quality and some strange designs. This toaster oven is an example of what I mean. It's a big box, sort of designed as a combo toaster and dorm room oven. I'm using it in my office for heating up my lunches. It does bake a pizza reasonably well. It does an OK job with bagels and toast (it doesn't quite have the local intense toasting you get from a real toaster or a small toaster oven). In oven mode the outside of the box gets very hot. There's not much insulation between the inside and the outside of the oven.

There is a rotisserie option, but there is so little clearance between the skewer and the bottom of the oven that I have no idea what you'd use it for. I wouldn't try to bake a chicken in this thing - I have a real oven at home, why would I do that? - but I imagine you could...

Mickey Mouse Red 42" Ceiling Fan

Disappointed
This was so darling on line and when I got it was so delighted because it matched all the Mickey Mouse decor in the grand kids bedroom perfectly. So to install it and realize it operates off one tiny little 60 watt bulb was a HUGE disappointment. It emits such a small bit of light it is essentially useless. As I look back on the description it does state it uses a single 60 watt candelabra bulb ( these are the small skinny bulbs). SO my bad, I should have paid closer attention, but I have had at least 30 ceiling fans over the years and never had one that did not use multiple standard size bulbs. Now I have to go out and purchase at least 2- 3 lamps to light up the room, which defeated the whole purpose of buying a reasonably priced ceiling fan.

T-fal 2.2-Pound(3 Ltr) Family Pro-Fryer Stainless Steel Immersion Fryer

Sturdy Product
I like it. Sturdy, unlike my older, cheaper deep fryer, which had an unstable feel to it. Timer is helpful--prevents leaving it on accidentally. Basket is larger than most, so items like FF can be spread out and fry quicker. Only downside is that this model is a little bulky (its squarer than most), especially if you live in a place with limited storage. And there's no real place in/on the unit to store the detachable cord. But this one looks like it will last a long time, and I'm glad I bought it..

T-Fal fryer is wonderful!!!!! Updated comments
Below is my original review of this product. Since I wrote this the original fryer died (it had about two years of VERY frequent and hard use). We immediately replaced it with another T-Fal which has been chugging along just as well as the original, altho I think the new one is a little smaller.

I don't do French Fries - never have been able to get them just right no matter how I fry or double fry them at home, but homemade potato chips. donuts, Indian samosas and pakoras or all kinds, Fry Bread, chicken fingers, Mexican foods (chili rellenos and taco and tostado shells not to mention tortilla chips) are wonderful and easy in the T-Fal fryer.

The product does get very warm so I recommend setting in on an inverted baking sheet to be sure the counter is protected. I won't lie and say that there is no grease splatter - but it's really very neat and the little grease that there is can easily be cleaned up with just a sponge and soapy water - no huge mess like...

EXCELLENT Deep Fryer
I bought this deep fryer from Target (needed it immediately, instead of waiting for it to be shipped) and I must say it works GREAT! Very easy setup. After about 15 minutes of unboxing, and cleaning it, I was off to frying chicken wings. The timer setting was perfect. It cooked very even. Was able to fry 20 wings in one batch was nice. It is a great deep fryer for the price. I highly recommend it.

Cooper Cooler Rapid Beverage Chilling Appliance

The George Foreman of fridges.
This device delivers on its promise: it honestly does chill your soda/beer/wine orders of magnitude faster than the fridge or the freezer. The downside is that it does not do the chilling by itself: water and ice must be supplied. The directions recommend two trays of ice and two cups cold water, which is more than enough for getting a 12-pack to 38F. My experience was that it took 25% longer using only one tray of ice. The device makes a tiny amount of noise, say 1/10th that of a dish washer, but they brilliantly have a "no spin" (quiet) mode should you be using this in an office/baby nursery/library. The button layout and design are extremely well thought out. Press "Can", or "bottle", and "spin" or "no spin".

All appliances should be this effective and easy to use.

Cool but doesn't chill...
So I got the Cooper Cooler for my office. It seemed so cool and slick. And the description said it brings soda cans down to 34 degrees in a minute. Doesn't get much better than that right? WRONG!
The little detail the editorial forgot to mention was that you have to put ice-cubes (YES, ICE CUBES) in the device in order for it to cool down your soda. Well, I've got a news flash for you - if I had ice cubes handy I could put them in my soda and be done with it. And ice cubes are much cheaper than this device.

So bear in mind this cooler is only useful if you have a real fridge near by and want to cool things fast. That's the only valid use-case. There you go.

Really works, chills drinks fast and easily, great for wine
I was skeptical at first that it would work, but I got one after I saw it featured in Kiplingers magazine. It worked as advertised. Chills my beer/soda cans quick in one minute and my bottles in three and a half minutes and like they say, it dosen't fizz over which I was really skeptical about. Glass bottles can sometimes rattle a bit but this dosen't seem to be a problem since its still not fizzy. Also great for chilling my wine quickly to the proper serving temp. I never really noticed the taste difference until I used my Cooper Cooler to chill my white wines to the recommended temperature in the mid-low 50s (only took three and a half minutes!!!) vs refrigerator temp which they say is too cold for most white wines. I was surprised that the difference in serving temp had an impact on the wine's taste, flavor, etc... It can sometimes groove the wine labels, but I don't care, but FYI if you collert the labels they have a no spin mode which dosen't sping the bottle. Real easy to use...

Palmer Electric Belgian Cookie Iron/Waffler - Teflon coated - Made in USA

Buy Palmer for a lifetime of Gallette cookies-
Palmer makes the best waffle irons in the business and these come with a 10 year warranty. You buy a Palmer iron once (yes they cost a little more) but you will have it your lifetime. I own three Palmer waffle cookie makers- 1010 (thin), 1020 (medium), and the 1030 (thick). All were purchased over 25 years ago when I was a new bride and they still work perfectly. I married a Belgian so I was expected to learn to make Galette (Belgian waffle cookies). This iron is for the thickest Belgian waffle cookies and according to my Belgian husband is the thickness he grew up eating. Expect this size iron to turn out cookies almost as thick as Belgian waffles you eat for breakfast. In fact Palmer says this thickness iron can also be used to make Belgian waffles for breakfast. The cookie thickness is almost 1/2" thick (approx 7/16" thick). So if your memories from childhood were of really thick Galette cookies this is the iron you want to buy.

Excellent Waffles and USA Made
We've had the waffle iron for about 2 months now and love it. Easy to use and clean, makes deluxe waffles. Definitely recommended!

Heats evenly, makes great cookies!
This electric iron makes wonderful cookies, just like I recall my grandma making on the old-fashioned (non electric) iron. One recommendation is to clean it well and let it burn off the chemical smell for a few cookies :)

Honeywell: Cool Moisture Humidifier ~ Dry Air Relief

Performs Exactly As Advertised
This unit is totally welcomed in my home. I reside in a house that is heated by a gas furnace; the dry atmosphere of Winter, coupled with very low humidity was playing havoc with my skin. In short, I couldn't get or keep enough lotion on my skin to keep my skin from flaking. It was as if I had dandruff all over my body! Enter the cool moisture humidifier -- it's been a god-send! I still have naturally dry skin, but it doesn't flake off as if I am a walking, swirling snow fall. I fill the water tank once a day, turn the machine on, and viola! invisible, relieving moisture fills several hundred square feet of home air. As advertised, the machine is "whisper quiet" (on the lowest setting.) As a matter of fact, you wouldn't even know it was operating unless you walked directly in front of the vapor stream and feel the gentle breeze. There is nothing disappointing about this machine.

Too much work
The unit worked great but having to rehydrate the filter took too much time and effort when all we were looking for was to fill a recepticle, insert it into the unit, and turn it on.

Also the promise of having to replace other parts on the unit, including UV lights made this unit more work than we would have liked. We received a return authorization to send it back but it would have cost us $40 to ship it back so we just took this one as a loss.

Great customer service from the company, just wish we had been more informed about what was involved before the purchase.

Excellent non-ultrasonic Humidifier!
Unlike ultrasonic humidifiers, this type does not leave any white residue in your room. It's great for a small bedroom or living room. Highly recommended!

Cuisinart DGB-500 Grind & Brew, White

Annoying to clean, spotty operation
I've been using this coffeemaker daily for about 9 months. I'm not completely satisfied with it.

The positive: It does what it's supposed to do, most of the time.

Cons:

- It's a real pain to clean. There are six parts to clean after every pot of coffee. The worst is the two-piece grinder assembly. Due to the complete absence of venting and valving, by the end of the brew the entire grinder assembly is soaking wet from condensed water vapor. This means it is coated with a fine mud of pulverized coffee. The grinder assembly has plenty of annoying nooks and crannies; cleaning it means standing there with a few paper towels, jamming them into the crevices to get the old coffee out. After that, you have to clean the filter holder, the filter holder lid, the pot itself, and the pot lid. The pot lid is annoying, requiring two hands to remove - I usually drop it once a day or so.

- Fit and finish. Once you've passed the plastic parts...

GREAT COFFEE MAKER getting a bad rap!
We've owned this machine for about 1 1/2yrs and bought them as gifts for two couples last fall. Having run this same coffeemaker over 400+ times, I would like to rebut some of the complaints often seen here.

[Electrical problemsNone of us have ever had or heard of the hot plate problems I saw mentioned. It could have been damaged at any point of the shipping & handling process. As for the "friend" having the exact same problem, if the problem is so prevalent then why are they getting a new replacement from Quisinart?

[Cleaning] I hate to break the shocking news but..... you do have to clean your coffee maker. Yes this unit has a few extra parts. That's because it has more functions, which is the reason we bought them in the first place. Every part is removable or accessible and therefore, cleanable. One reviewer in particular complained vehemently about the cleaning and then mentioned switching to a vacuum pot which has even more parts than a grind &...

GREAT COFFEE MACHINE!! BEST COFFEE
After being a long term Krups owner (my Krups carafe broke after 12 yrs of dutiful service), I recently purchased a 12 cup Cuisinart Grind & Brew. I always thought my old 10 cup Krups made a decent cup of coffee when using freshly ground beans. I initially shopped for a replacement Krups.

To me, the newer Krups models seemed flimsier than my 12 yr old model. The round carafe seemed problematic (and i've read that it is problematic.)

So I eyed the Cuisinart. I selected this Grind and Brew model because i was tired of getting coffee grounds all over my floor every day. It was a terrific decision.

Cuisinart has made the total "set it and forget it machine." At night I put my whole beans in with water that Cuisinart kindly filters and in the morning I get a fantastic cup of coffee.

I ONLY MENTION THIS ONE POINT: The machine has a "1-4" cup setting that will make sure the coffee is HOT when making small amounts. The manual says use this feature when making 4 or less cups. I...

Westinghouse 78043 Vintage Three-Light 52-Inch Five Blade Ceiling Fan, Polished Brass with Frosted Ribbed Shades

Despite receiving a substitute w/o approval; it works very well.
The items sent were replacement types that were almost identical. I received 2- Canarm Sherwood Polished Brass Three-Light 52-Inch Ceiling Fan with Frosted Glass- Bellacor Number: 619385.

The replacement were sent w/o notifying me in any way.

To date I'm very impressed with these fans. They run almost silently in all speeds and on high they put out quite a good volume of air. So far I see nothing to complain about.

Seems nice, but wrong categorizing..
When we searched to buy a fan, we purposely looked for one with a remote control. This fan was categorized as a fan that brings a remote, HOWEVER.. it does NOT bring a remote.
Other than the mistake on their part, it seems like a pretty decent fan.

Jaysukh Ranparia
Works very smoothly, and moves air very well. Looks beautifull. Installation was very easy.
Amazon's Price, Services and Delivery was excellent.

Hoover Upright Turbo Cyclonic Bagless Vacuum

Heavy and Stinky
This vacuum is the heavy and awkward to push around--I have owned other vacuums, and never had any trouble pushing one before. It sucks up dust and dog hair okay, but leaves the room in a terrible dusty smell (i.e. you cannot vacuum without having the windows open for a day--not practical in winter or summer). It smells like it shoots out as much dust as it sucks in. We have only had this machine for 6-7 months--it was smelling bad almost after 1 month--even with trying to clean it out between uses. I am not happy with this purchase.

Hoover vac
I always do my homework before a purchase. I knew Hoover's are loud so no complaints. They really aren't way out of line there. That's the price of a strong suction. I too disagree with the negative reviews. This is a powerful vacuum cleaner that does a thorough job picking up pet hair and everything else it is designed for. I don't notice any dust blowing around or any obnoxious odor if I put all the filters back after cleaning and properly seating the removeable debris holder. If those components aren't installed correctly then dust blowing can occur. It isn't hard to push around and my wife and I are in our mid 70's (yes, I am a male vacuumer). Homework also reveals the weight so no problem there either. Other than normal wear the belts last as long as comparable vacuums. Of course if I mis-use it then they won't. By that I mean running over rug tassles, toys, etc. It is not designed to accomodate those items. I recommend this and I only paid $79. I knew what I was buying! Can't...

Don't buy!!!!
This vacuum is horrible. It overheats during a routine vacuuming and shuts off. It sucks up dog hair, but the hair gets trapped in the hose. I've had it for a little over a year and it's stopped working.

Big Boss Torpedo Multi-Purpose 10 in 1 Kitchen Appliance, Black

Big, loud, and great at everything.
Big for a "blender." Loud for a blender...or any kitchen appliance, automobile, train, or aircraft. But this thing gets the job done!

First beverage, a juiced treat made of apples, carrots, raspberries...and some ice cubes thrown in for good measure. Not having owned a standalone juicer, I can't comment on if it does better or worse, but this Torpedo had no problems at all converting the solids into liquids. Very smooth - a little "gritty" when used with the "medium" screen, but silky smooth with the fine screen. Based on what went into the machine versus what came out to drink, it was pretty impressive how little pulp was leftover. Very nice - and no raspberry seeds!

Next up, we through a block of cheddar cheese in there. Yeah, who puts a block of cheese in a blender? (Well, come on! This is no blender, this is a "Kitchen Appliance!") It whipped through the cheese block very quickly, and while I wouldn't consider the end result exactly "shredded" how...

Functional blender with juicing features
The Torpedo Multi-Purpose Appliance is an "As Seen on TV" blender and juicer manufactured by LadyShip, a brand popular in its home country of Taiwan as well as in mainland China and Hong Kong, the Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Australia, and Canada, as amateur YouTube videos will attest. It is relatively new to the U.S. market.

The Torpedo is basically a blender with some unique features that make it especially useful for extracting juice from fruits and vegetables. It has three pairs of blades, a spigot, an interior strainer system with two interchangeable wire mesh filters, a vented cap, a lid accessory to act as a staging area and feeding bowl for ingredients, and a vertical structure that houses a mechanical safety feature that allows the motor to run only when the lid is twisted to lock it in place. A clever cleaning brush and a recipe book are also included as well as a pamphlet with favorite recipes from the young couple that promotes this...

Love The Auto Cycle
I've had this appliance for about a month now. I have made smoothies, blended salsas and soups so far. I love the auto cycle, which blends for a few seconds then pauses and starts up again. This cycle repeats for about a minute. With my old blender, I would have to start and stop manually to stir things around, especially when I made whole fruit or green smoothies. No more.

I also love the fact that there is a locking lid. My old blender's top came off a few times when I was blending soups. That was a mess! There are attachments that come with this blender, like 2 different filters for juicing, and a spout to attach to the container, so that drinks and juices can be poured out individually. There is also a recipe book included with lots of recipes to try. It's also easy to clean.

My only complaint is the height of the appliance. I used to be able to put my old blender in my cabinet. This one has to stay out on my countertop. And it barely fits between...

Panasonic MC-UG413 Upright Vacuum Cleaner, Red finish

another great panasonic upright vacuum cleaner
This is the third Panasonic vacuum cleaner I've purchased and I've been satisfied with every one of them. The first two I bought are now over 15 years old and still work great today. This one is similar to those. It works just as well and I assume it will be just as durable. And it uses the same standard bag that fits in my previous two Panasonic vacuum cleaners so I don't have to worry about buying a separate bag for this model. One bag fits all.

The suction power of this vacuum cleaner is great. The included probing tools are convenient. The durability of the previous models suggests that this will be just as durable. It uses bags to collect the dirt. This is a lot better than the bag-less design where you need to empty the canister somewhere and worry about inhaling the dirt. It uses standard bags that can easily be found in department stores and that fit in all of the Panasonic upright bag-required models.

This is a great vacuum cleaner. I...

Performs better than bagless so far, but...
(MC-UG413) I am still getting used to it. It's much heavier and much more difficult to carry upstairs than I expected and compared to my 25 year old Panasonic upright (which still works but nobody sells the bags anywhere except online). There is no hand hold place for lifting it with 2 hands and too heavy for one-handed lifting, at least for us seniors.
The upholstery attachment brush comes off all the time; I'll have to tape that on.
The attachments on board is nice but the hose is too short (compared to what I'm used to). I find I cut corners a lot rather than struggle with the vacuum cleaner. The suction is powerful enough, maybe too much for attachments (makes quite a loud noise). After a while, it gives off a smell like it's overheating. It does not self-propel like the old machine. Basically it's a hard workout and I'd return it if I had gotten it from a retail store. I once bought an expensive bag-less vacuum which ended up out with the trash. So, we'll see how this...

Burned out after only one year and 50 uses
I bought this vacuum cleaner in late September, 2011. It did a decent job on my carpet; not great, but decent. I would go slow to make sure that it picked up well. The automatic level adjuster was nice when going from one carpet to another. It also was quieter than my previous cleaner.

About a month after the one year warranty expired, the motor burned out. I only used it once a week on about 300 sq ft of low profile carpet. Because of the low usage, I phoned Panasonic customer support and asked for a warranty extension. Customer Support indicated that they would provide an exception if I would fax them a copy of the invoice. I faxed the invoice the same day. After a week and no response, I called back. It seems that the fax went to a different departmment who decided that they would not grant an exception. Any competent service company could see that the unit is barely used and looks brand new!

This experience says a lot about Panasonic's product quality,...

VillaWare C5555-15 Pooh and Tigger Waffler

Good news bad news....
It works as stated and the kids loved the Tigger and Pooh on the waffles. The only down side I found was, that the side that is Tigger was hard to fill without it over loading it. It dripped out the front and made a small mess. It was easy to use and every waffle did turn out nice and brown and ready to eat!!!

Great for family, good for food
The iron arrived quickly. Our children were so excited. I was worried that more would want Tigger on their waffle instead of Pooh, or vice versa, but the makers are so clever that each square has one on one side and the other on the other, so that every person getting a square can choose which one they want, and feel like they have both. Our kids love it.

The waffle iron works well. It cooks just a little slow, but evenly. The waffles are thin, which is good for kids. They end up being a little tough to cut. But they are so fun that none of us mind.

This is a great waffle iron.

cute dinner
this works great we have been using it for over a year and had no problems the kids love it to because the like to eat with tigger and pooh

3Q Electrostatic Ionic Air Purifier

Smells like you're standing on a mountian!
I bought one of these about a year and 1/2 ago b/c it was cheaper then Sharper Images but was doubtful it would work well or for very long b/c it was cheaper.

I placed it in my bedroom when I got home from work and let it work it's magic, SILENT magic...it is really quiet!, while I sat in the living room. About 45 minutes later I decided to go check and make sure everything was going as it should. I turned the corner and the smell of fresh cool air hit me. It was SO nice! The only way I could describe the air is to say is smelled like mountain top air with a water fall near by. That's how fresh and clean it smelled.

Now, I'm thinking, "OK, it smells good, but is it really working?" I push a button and pull out the filter, yes, it's THAT easy, and I can see little fuzzies of cat hair (I have two) and dust (I have a lot) clinging to the filter! WOW! It actually was cleaning the air!

I promptly went out and bought them for every room in my house...

So far, so good
I needed something to get rid of the musty smell from a very humid autumn here. Ordered after Christmas, but took about 10-days to get here (coming from west coast to the east, reason for delay?). Anyway, it works well and has pretty much eliminated the mustiness from the furniture in the living room. Have had it for a few weeks now. The only thing is during the warranty period, should it stop working, I have to box it up and pay for shipping, insurance, etc., AND send $20 for shipping back to me. I think that is a little excessive. If it stops working, I'll probably just put the money toward something else. But, so far, so good!

Awesome. Lasts for a little over a year.
Made the air smell great. Cleaned out the dust I'm allergic to. Broke after about a year and a few months.

Westinghouse Lighting 7809620 Verandah Breeze II Two-Light 52-Inch Five-Blade Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan, White with Opal Teardrop Glass

Looks good and works well
We purchased this fan for our outdoor, partially enclosed, patio area mostly for summer use to provide air circulation in the area. The product has proven to do a fine job and looks really good. It does take two people to put the fan together and install it simply because the process is, at times, awkward. One person really needs to hold the fan while the other person is putting it together and installing it. Also, please note, that at least for us the fan was preset in the "winter" mode so that air was directed to the ceiling to disperse rising warm air. That may account for another reviewer's bad review regarding lack of circulation. There is a switch on the side of the motor housing which reverses the fan direction to the "summer" position so that the blades force air downwards. When in that position the air flow down is plenty powerful. Also please note that the attached light fixture does NOT come with bulbs (an irritant). It uses two chandelier type bulbs...

Doesn't do what a fan is supposed to do.
I installed one of these fans for a family member maybe 3 years ago out on the Texas gulf coast, outdoors. I didn't expect it to stay rust-free, since everything metal rusts out there, and it has actually rusted less than I expected, so that's a plus. The problem with the fan is that it just doesn't move any serious air. I have installed and even worked on countless ceiling fans made between the 1970s and present, and I have seen good and bad. This one is definitely not one of the better ones I've worked with. Even the highest speed is not very fast and I could swear it's gotten slower since it was installed. Even when there is no breeze, it's difficult to feel the air movement from this fan. It's a bit of a waste of electricity, actually. I would give it 1 star for performance but it gets 2 stars overall because nothing has broken on it, the light works as it should, it has held up to the salt air pretty well, and it is quiet. It might be good for a smaller indoor room, but why would...

Salton Induction Cooker Energy efficiency 300W-1800W, 140F-465F

Easy to use! Gets hot fast
I bought this and tried it out last night. I have some Tramontina stainless induction cookware and put the dutch oven on the cooktop with about 1/4 full of tap water. When you turn on the cooktop, it senses the presence of induction cookware and immediately went to 1400 Watts (it goes up to 1800 in 200 increments), which according to the user manual is High. The water boiled in a few minutes, and the bubble pattern forming on the bottom of the pan looked very even.

The highest setting, 1800 Watts, is Max/Sear mode and uses your entire 15A electrical circuit (1800 Watts / 120 Volts = 15 Amps) which means you can't have anything else running on your 15A circuit. I can't imagine ever using the Max/Sear mode, especially for no more than a few minutes or seconds to put a crust on a piece of meat or fish. The 1400 Watt setting uses 11.67A (1400W divided by 120V), leaving 3.33A for the rest of my electrical items on the circuit. This was fine with running my mini bar-fridge...

Nice unit, slow customer service from manufacturer
I am familiar with induction cooking and own an induction range. Got this unit for a portable. Works essentially the same as one of the lower power units on my induction range. You will notice slower boiling of water than with a full 220v induction range but that should be clear to anyone before they buy. Only design complaint is that the four plastic feet are hard and slippery so the unit tends to slide easily on countertop.

Our unit, after two weeks use, shows an intermittent error code e01 which codes as overheating but it does so even at simmer. Phone call to manufacturer gets an answering machine. No return call in 24 hrs.

Warranty requires you pay shipping both ways.

SamsonGreen TRB CS1000 Tribest Citristar Electric Citrus Juicer

Great Juicer
Bought this juicer for my wife and she thinks it's the greatest. Breaks down in three easy to clean parts, no clogging, no shooting juice everywhere and the motor is strong, won't bog down when pressure is applied.

Works well, and cleans extremely easily
Extremely happy with it. It juices well and cleans up very quickly and easily. Of course we didn't realise it had two different size juicing heads until we washed it for the first time. Good investment.

Not as pictured/Not white
I don't respect any company that falsely advertises. It may not be a big deal to some people but as you can see from the photo, this juicer is white with a black base. This is the picture on the box, so it is not Amazon's fault. When I pulled it out of the box, it is a bone color (light beige) with a dark brown base. Hideous. However, the company that makes this juicer clearly wants us to believe that it is white. That is deceiving and I don't appreciate that. I returned it to Amazon.

Shark Navigator Upright Bagless Vacuum with Premium Pet Accessories, Nv22lwm

Wanted to like it but it failed me
I was impressed with other Shark products enough to buy this vacuum to replace an Oreck. First of all this vacuum weighs more than the Oreck and has a smaller head and is noisier, but to its credit, costs less. As another reviewer said, the true test of this vacuum is whether it will last more than 13 months. Well, it is just shy of 7 1/2 months and this vacuum just died. It was preceded by a very loud sound coming from the motor but was not the result of running over or trying to pick up any large objects. It happened with normal use. When calling the customer service, it was obvious I was talking to Asia. The person belabored the fact that I needed to be sure that the electricity was working in my house. He then informed me that I'd need to ship it insured, all at my expense to N.C., and then spend $16.99 to have it fixed despite its alleged 5 year warranty. Sorry, but this product just doesn't last with normal use and their warranty and customer service leave much to be desired...

Compact, lightweight, with decent suction
Our last vacuum cleaner gave up the ghost a while ago - we picked up this one as a replacement at the big "C" store yesterday and gave it a test run around the apartment.

Pros:
- Small head size allows it to get into tight spaces easily.
- Lightweight, easy to pick up and maneuver as required.
- Good suction, didn't leave anything obvious on the floor.
- Comes with a number of different attachments.
- Easy to empty (but small dust chamber).

Caveats:
- Assembly is a bit awkward. The hose and electrical cable didn't play well together.
- We only used this on carpeted floors, so your mileage may vary with hardwood or tile.

All together, I'm pretty pleased with the purchase and have no intention of returning it.

Don't get ripped off by "Deluxe"
Costco sells the "Deluxe" for $129. The price on this tells you all you need to know - move on.

4-star vac, but paying $200 for it as asked in this listing is crazy so it only gets 1-star. Search amazon for a better listing.

"Deluxe Edition" Shark Navigators? Like the NV22L with a 7yr warranty vs. 5yr and extra accessories (e.g. a "Premium" Pet Power Brush).

Upright Models:
X "NV22L" (Lavender) with all the attachments.
X "NV22T" (Blue) previously sold at Walmart does NOT have the attachments (they now stock the NV22L)
X There is a red "NV26" that swiveled at the base like the liftaway which was sold at Kohls
X There also used to even be a green (teal) one too

As for choosing a Shark? It's a great choice for most people that pick it. The Shark Navigator (by Euro-Pro) is one of the best reviewed vacs out there.

DeLonghi DCM900 10-Cup Coffee Maker

Poor product, Poor support
I had this coffee maker less than three months when it just stopped brewing in the middle of a brewing cycle. I immediately called customer support and spoke with Erica. She was very pleasant and offered several suggestions, including de-scaling the machine. She told me to call her back regardless of the results. None of her suggestions succeeded, including de-scaling, which proved to be impossible since the DeLonghi wouldn't brew anyway. And if the coffee maker did need de-scaling, its built-in de-scaling warning light never went on. In any case, I had a mess on my hands and called DeLonghi customer service back. This time I reached Amanda, who couldn't have been nastier and wouldn't or couldn't allow me to speak to Erica. I asked to speak to her supervisor, Josh, who was extremely condescending and unhelpful. Unfortunately, it was then that I decided to do my research, not before. It turned out there were numerous complaints registered with the Better Business Bureau concerning...

SHOW AND GO!
Bought this about a month ago, even though I could not find any reviews on it, I went for it.
reason's...
#1. LOOKS! this is one beautiful coffee maker!

#2. 1500 watt S.S. boiler, that rocks. 6 minutes for a full pot.
timed it.

since I have had a chance to use it I have found the following.
You need some room, from a height perspective. it has lids that flip up for adding coffee and water. I had to relocate this to a part of the counter with no cupboards.Work out fine, I LIKE to show it off!
cleaning is a snap.
very simple, one toggle, off and on, thats it!
It seems to be built very well, time will tell.
If you want a beautiful machine that gets the job done,(water temp ect) I would HIGHLY recommend it. If you want a machine that you can program to make coffee for the next week. this is not the one.
So far I LOVE it. a work of art!

update:
unfortunately it quit working after about a year..have not...

Looks great but not very reliable
My old coffee maker stopped working; it was old and heavily used. I desperately needed a new one - Amazon Prime to the rescue. In no time at all I took delivery of the DeLonghi DCM900 and put it to work. I like the look of the machine, and it worked well. For a month.

It stopped working one day.

Because it had been delivered just over a month before it stopped working Amazon were not interested in helping resolve this issue.

A series of fairly frustrating calls with the DeLonghi service people followed, but eventually they said they'd ship me a replacement. All I had to do was send back the plug from the broken machine, and they'd send me a replacement. I sent back the plug, and nothing happened. After a couple of weeks I called and was told that the replacement was on back-order and would be at least a month.

I don't function too well without coffee, so a quick trip to a local store saw my kitchen equipped with a cheap and cheerful Mr...

VersaChef VC-100 All-In-One 4-Liter Programmable Multi-Cooker

Was perfect until...
Versa Chef was bought last december and i loved the concept and functionality of this little fella.
Cooked all my meals since and was totally in love with food and simplicity of cooking with this multi cook.
However in August in the middle of cooking Versa Chef just stopped working and nothing could bring it back to life.
Being aware that i have one-year warranty i called customer support in high hopes to have my magical machine fixed just to find out that
official distribution has ceased to exist and the company changed its name and no longer service Versa Chefs at all, Which means no repair or return for me or
any current or potential user of this device.
The leftovers in stock are cheap, true, and itself the multicook is amazing thing to have for healthy meals, but be aware of possible issues related to service/repair/return of the device.

Thank you

Sasha

Very Useful Product
This multicooker is easy to use, doesn't take up a lot of space, and has a good non-stick pan. It makes cooking much faster, and since it only uses one pan (and sometimes the steam rack), there isn't much dish-washing to do afterward. The Rapid rice cook setting can overcook the rice a bit, but so far that's the only flaw in the cooker that I've found.

This product is great for people who don't have much free time, but want to eat homemade, healthy food. Great for a college student, especially.

Cooks it all!
We love this product however, the lid opens on it's own - you might want to keep a roll of duct tape handy.

FunTime FT421CB Carnival Style 4-Ounce Hot Oil Popcorn Machine, Black

A real disappointment
Was very excited to get this popcorn machine. Was stainless steel AND tempered glass which was important to me. Looked great! Unfortunately it didn't get hot enough to pop the corn! Or to heat the oil for that matter! Maybe I got a defective version but after several tries (and even checking the plugs on the machine AND the house) I gave up and returned it. Heating element wouldn't get hot enough to "steam" the oil or pop the corn. Maybe half the kernels would pop and then only half way. A real disappointment.

Movie Style Popcorn
Was planning on throwing a carnival theme party for my sons birthday party. Picked this up figuring it would serve for other purposes (sport events & parties, man cave etc..) Works well and makes good tasting popcorn. The construction is pretty heavy and does not feel cheap.

*Cleaning Tip* when cleaning after use, keep the kettle attached inside the machine, fill 3/4 of the way with water and turn on kettle heater. It will warm up and start boiling the water and then after a few minutes of it boiling, dump the water in another container. The steam will ease up the grease and make it easier to wipe down.

Do not buy....
The product shipped and arrived missing a door ruining my opportunity to use this as a gift. Thankfully it will be returned.
