DeLONGHI - Convection Oven w/Rotisserie, 12.5-Liter, 0.5 cu. ft., Black

Hard to control, not worth it
I have an Oster oven I LOVE and when we bought this for a 2nd place, I thought - how different can it be? First off, the controls aren't digital and it seems to run VERY hot, constantly burning items in 1/2 the time the directions called for. I'm not sure if we have a defective model or if the fan&bake setting is supposed to accelerate timing THAT much, but it's very unpredictable and hard to control. I've taken to messing with the back settings and turning the temp down, but that just makes for high maintenance. The toast setting (assuming you stand and watch it), is fine. But definitely do not recommend it.

DeLonghi "Customer Care" is TERRIBLE!
BUYER BEWARE!...Delonghi "Customer Care" (as they call it) is the absolute worst I have ever experienced....ever! (I apologize in advance for the length of my post. I've never done this before, but my experience with Delonghi has been SO BAD that I felt I had to report it....and in order to do so I wanted to be as thorough and exact as possible).

I purchased the top of the line Delonghi DO-1289 Convention Toaster Oven on Sept. 4, 2012 (which...BTW...has now been discontinued). Within a few months the control knobs became less responsive and it later became apparent the unit was going to need to be repaired or replaced. Not a big deal, these things happen....so I called "Customer Care" which (as you will read) has turned out to be an extreme exercise in patience.

My first attempt was on May 24, 2013 at 10:17am (central time...where they are located). After navigating their phone tree (which we are all now accustomed to) the recording told me my call would be...

DeLonghi Convection Oven
Prefect for every day dinners - the convection is great for roasts, turkeys, etc. I've used Delonghi products for years - they are high quality and priced right.
