Swift Green Filters SGF-W10
Oredered the Swift Green Water filter SGF-W10 to replace my Kenmore water filter #9915. Had to soak filter for 15 minuters in water per directions. When I installed this bottom grille filter it wouldn't turn exactly horizontal like the Kenmore 9915. After flushing the system of 3 gallons of water, the new filtered water doesn't taste good at all. I will go to Sears and pay extra for the right filter because the quality of this filter is not an exact copy and the filtered water tastes horrible.
Does NOT replace Whirlpool 4396701
I bought a four-pack of the Swift SGF-W10, which it promotes as a "green" alternative to the Whirlpool 4396701. Well, it does cut down on your water use -- to zero. I tried two of the Swift replacement filters, and neither one fit into my fridge. A waste of a good chunk of money.
Did The Job
I was a little nervous about buying these, but they worked just fine and were substantially cheaper than the ones from Sears. Filtered water tastes so much better than unfiltered water.
