Don't Waste Your Money
Very disappointed in this model.
After very first use, the device started making a lot of noise when the brush turned on.
Hoover sent me a new belt which seemed to fix the problem, but after another couple uses, the same thing. Parts are not included in warranty, so after the first belt they sent out, I can no longer get it complimentary.
Seems to work well, but not built to last. Stay clear of this model.
For the money, I would expect a lot more.
Total crap!
Broken, poorly designed, cheap parts! When I click the vacuum upright, the brush on the bottom no longer stops spinning. I contacted Hoover and the best they could do was tell me to drive it to a repair shop an hour away, what a headache! And the cord rewind feature has worn through the power cable insulation too. There's a rubber gasket on the bottom and the vacuum sucks onto the floor while I'm using it (like a giant suction cup), you really have to tug it to pull it off. Honestly, I would NEVER buy any Hoover vacuum again. It's past the return date and I'm considering selling it on Craigslist just to get some money to buy a Bissell. Be warned!
